About Us

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, a few miles from majestic Grandfather Mountain is the lovely town of Blowing Rock - home to the small family owned and operated business, Highland Embroidery of North Carolina, Inc.

We sell most of our products at the various Scottish Festivals and Highland Games held within the United States throughout the year. We also do a fair bit of business by mail order, through people using our brochures or good old-fashioned word of mouth. Then we thought about the people who are not aware of our products, the people who haven't seen us because we don't attend a Highland Gathering in their area, or the unlucky people who are unable to attend the games that we go to. Would these people like to see our wares? Our many, many happy customers say emphatically, "YES!". So here we are with our first venture onto the Internet. We hope that you will enjoy what you find and please be aware that we add new items to our inventory each year.

We are both from Scotland (with the accents to prove it!) and are well travelled and knowledgeable about our country.
